The Brief

When Ace Cafe expanded into North America, the challenge wasn’t visibility, it was authenticity.

Ace Cafe is more than a restaurant. It is a cultural institution rooted in motorcycle heritage, rock-and-roll history, and decades of global loyalty. For the Orlando flagship, the mandate was clear: open with immediate credibility, honoring the legacy of Ace Cafe London while establishing a distinctly American destination.

Brands & Brawn was brought in to help translate the London flagship’s identity into a complete merchandise and apparel system for the Orlando launch, ensuring brand continuity, cultural integrity, and retail readiness from day one.

The Opportunity

Ace Cafe North America deliberately chose an urban, industrial setting near downtown Orlando, avoiding tourist-heavy corridors in favor of architecture and surroundings that aligned with the brand’s working-class, motorsports-driven DNA.

The space was designed to operate as a full-scale cultural hub, featuring:

  • Indoor and outdoor dining
  • A live music venue capable of hosting large crowds
  • Motorcycle-focused retail and future museum concepts
  • A dedicated Rockers merchandise shop

The challenge was to open fully stocked with merchandise that felt authentic, intentional, and globally consistent, not derivative or promotional.

Our Role

Brands & Brawn partnered with Ace Cafe North America to design and produce a launch-ready apparel and merchandise program inspired directly by the London flagship.

Our work included:

  • Custom jackets rooted in classic rocker and motorcycle silhouettes
  • Apparel and merchandise aligned with Ace Cafe’s historic visual language
  • Consistent branding, graphics, and detailing across all products
  • A flexible system capable of scaling across future North American locations

This was not about novelty or souvenirs. The merchandise needed to function as wearable identity, something riders and fans would choose because it felt earned.

Using Ace Cafe London as the reference point, our approach emphasized:

Every decision was made to ensure the Orlando location felt immediately connected to Ace Cafe’s global legacy.

Ace Cafe Orlando opened with a fully realized retail experience that complemented the food, music, and motorsports culture of the space.

  • The Orlando location launched with instant credibility among riders, petrol-heads, and international visitors

Most importantly, Ace Cafe North America debuted as a true destination, not simply a new location.
